Particle systems are ubiquitous in nature and engineering, and there is a large international community dedicated to their research. Our group at Heriot-Watt University aims to develop an understanding and undertake modelling of complex systems spanning from granular media and particle laden flow to reaction networks. This wide range of applicability covers many different scales and flow regimes, and hence requires a wide range of expert knowledge to undertake.
